The cereal grains grown on Poland's rich agricultural land are among the country's most important dietary staples. They eat four different types of bread: wheat, rye, buckwheat, and barley. A lot of the food is organic because they have no pesticides and has better flavor.
6. "Pollution in Poland." RRI Green Planning Archives Poland Environmental Policy Review. Current to 1995. http://greenplans.rri.org/resources/greenplanningarchives/poland/areasofconcern.html
Synopsis: Health. Poland has very serious air pollution problems. It has high levels of SOx, NOx particulates and carbon dioxide. Human’s health is seriously jeopardized by air pollution in some highly polluted areas, especially the major cities. The major source of air pollution in Poland is the energy sector, difficulty results from the heavy use of coal and lignite. Poland also plays a big role in Global Warming.
7."Increased Pollution." World Fact Book. April 15, 2008. April 19, 2008. https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/pl.html
Synopsis: Health. The situation has improved since 1989 due to decline in heavy industry and increased environmental concern by post-Communist governments. Air pollution remains serious because of sulfur dioxide emissions from coal-fired power plants, and the resulting acid rain has caused forest damage. Water pollution from industrial and municipal sources is also a problem.

Synopsis: Health. The total population of people to live in Poland is 75.41 years old. So people don't live that long of a life. Males live 71.42 years old and females live 79.65 years old (2008 est.) I think the women live longer because they work in hospitals and don't have to go to war. The men live harder lives so die faster.
9."Grown Food." Agriculture - Products. April 15, 2008. April 20, 2008. https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/pl.html
Synopsis: Health. People in Poland grow a lot of their foods because it's organic; it has no pesticides, and better flavor. They grow potatoes, fruits, vegetables, wheat, poultry, eggs, pork, and dairy. The food has no agriculture. I think that’s why Polish people are so thin because they don't eat a lot of greasy foods.
10."Obesity." When Being Over Weight Is a Health Problem. April 2007. April 20, 2008. http://www.kidshealth.org/teen/food_fitness/dieting/obesity.html
Synopsis: Health. Obesity tends to run in families. Some people have a genetic tendency to gain weight more easily than others because they burn calories more slowly. Although genes strongly influence body type and size, the environment also plays a role. People today may be gaining weight because of unhealthy food choices (like fast food) and family habits (like eating in front of the television instead of around a table). (I'm not too sure if this in happening in Poland).
