REFLECTiON ON PROJECT

Writing the essay on Poland, I was able to explore many topics that people face in that country. Women’s issues, health, and religion were just a few subjects we focused on for our interview. Katrina showed us that when you think of Poland don't just think about how poor the people are or the way life is; think around that. Think about the many different foods and building you can see. Think about how you can compare the United States to Poland.

One of the topics I liked the most was women's issues. Nancy asked "How do women get treated based on in public and in the home?" Katrina said "The women in Poland are to be dependent on men for them to do everything. For example, if a women needs to go to the store or the mall, she needs to ask her husband and if he says no then she can't go until he says she can". That hit me pretty hard because I was taught not to depend on any one for anything, especially not a man. That goes to show you that all people are different and taught different ways.

Many topics of our project was not touched because group members felt as though they didn't have to show up when they needed to. I felt that wasn't fair because I took my time in doing someone else's part of the project and they still get credit for it. The hardest part of our project was putting together the movie with the pictures and sound together. After all, I really enjoyed working with Eduardo and Nancy on this International Interview Project.
